For me, mindful photography doesn’t start with the camera, but with the moment before. With the decision to slow down compared to the world around me. When I walk attentively, what I see changes. Things emerge that would otherwise disappear as I pass by. My style of photography is minimalist. Not out of renunciation, but out of conviction. Less technology, fewer decisions, less noise. The less that stands between me and the subject, the closer I get to the image. I’m not looking for the spectacular. I’m interested in the marginal notes: the light that briefly falls on a wall, the order in the random, the inconspicuous, the overlooked. For me, mindful photography means giving time to the ordinary. My photography is not a commentary on the world. It is a way of being in it.
